Hedley caught up with Witheridge manager Pete Buckingham last saturday and they compared notes on this week’s fixture. Like Hedley, Peter will be missing players due to suspension and unavailabilty. “We thought about maybe playing an 8 a side game and both accepted that our starting teams will basically pick themselves. We will be missing Adam Langabeer (first of three games), Lloyd Beech ( one game) and Simon Hill (one game). On the bright side though we should welcome back Marcus Fanson and Brad Riggs. We will also have a new keeper in Dan Law who has joined us from Sidmouth Town after Dom Aplin opted to move nearer home to Liverton Utd. Dan played a couple of games for us earlier in the season and managed to keep two clean sheets. Pete has done well at Witheridge having to completely rebuild his squad after a mass exodus of players at the start of the season. Although they lost 5-1 at Falmouth last Saturday they have bagged a number of good results of late including a win at Exmouth Town and they are always a tough nut to crack at their place.”
