Apologies for the delay in the below which was drafted back at the start of the month when it was meant to have been posted:
After a number of years at the club (Marcus was barely old when he arrived), Dan Horler has moved on to Penzance AFC following a well deserved promotion to Pub manager of the Hain Line in St Ives for JD Wetherspoon. Although Dan only made a few appearances for the first team, his play has matured significantly in the last two years and I’m sure this development will combine with his natural ability to step up a level at his new club. He leaves having already made a significant contribution to the reserve team’s promotion push this year including 4 key goals in his last 3 games against some of the top teams in the division, as well as being a key member of last year’s promotion squad. I’d like to thank Dan for his time at the club and Dan also offers his own thanks:
‘I would like to personally thank those who put in so much time and effort into the club to make it what it is. From the youth and senior coaches, referees, tea ladies, club workers and of course the boardroom, just so we are able to enjoy what we do and kick a ball of leather around on a Saturday afternoon. I have represented Cullompton from Under 6 level all the way through to Senior Men’s Level and I know this may not have been possible had it not been for all the hard work people put in behind the scenes’.
All the best for the future Dan.
