Rangers came from behind to beat a strong Godolphin side 3-1 and then leap frog them in the League to move up to 9th.
Things did not start well for the home side as they fell behind to a Phil Lowry strike on 15 minutes having dominated the early exchanges. We were soon back on level terms however when Robbie Bowker used all of his height to get on the end of an Ollie Aplin cross and score with a close range header. The same duo combined ten minutes later as Ollie unselfishly crossed for Robbie to side foot home from six yards. Rangers had by far the best of the exchanges in the second half but we sqaundered half a dozen good opportunities until the dying minutes when Alex Greening’s shot came back off the inside of the post and Ollie was quickest to react and made the game safe at 3-1.
This was an excellent performance by our lads on a pitch which deteriorated as the game went on and they showed a high level of fitness to keep going as they did and restrict Godolphin to very goal scoring opportunities.
