Cullompton Seconds were at home to Uplyme on Saturday in what turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable open game.
Uplyme took the lead following a mistake by the home defence allowing their centre forward a free shot to score .
Cully had had most of the game at this point and from some good play down the right, the speedy Zac Sydenham ran in to equalise. Half time came with the score at 1-1.
The second half saw Cully maintain their hold on the game and they were rewarded with a well taken goal from Josh Trump.
Uplyme equalised soon after, much against the run of play. They were awarded a free kick just outside the penalty area, scoring with a well taken strike. Cully continued to attack, but would have been fearful of any breakaways, one of which brought an excellent save fom the Cully keeper.
From a corner in the last minutes of the game, Logan Wolford tapped in from a corner kick.
Cully played out the final minutes without any alarms, for a deserved 3-2 victory.
